Autumn Gem: A Documentary on Modern China's First Feminist

For the past several years I built a business with my husband as co-producers of a feature-length documentary film about the Chinese revolutionary heroine Qiu Jin. In addition to co-producing, I wrote, co-directed, and edited the film. I created a companion study guide and 65-page interactive e-book containing video clips and images from the film. I also designed all of the marketing materials including the website, online ads, emails, posters, and flyers. Over the course of four years I organized more than 120 screenings at universities, museums, libraries, and other educational venues in the U.S., Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia. To date we have sold over 120 copies of the institutional DVD and study guide to universities.
